Parents gathered at Whittier on Thursday, February 28th to learn about DATA! Led by Dr. Bertha Campos, 5th grade teacher at Whittier, parents were exposed to the different data that is collected by teachers at Whittier, and were taught about the basics and reasoning for collecting data, as well as how to understand the data-related reports that come home. Parents moved through three stations: ISAT data, fluency related data, and MAP related data. The turnout was GREAT, and our Whittier faculty continues to show why they are so AWESOME and put students first!
Special thanks to Dr. Bertha Campos, for organizing the evening, as well as Rosemary Ellis, Sandi Householder, Rosa Padilla, Jeanne Wagner, Alma Kinderman, Julie Butler, Marylee Borrero, Sunday Mueller and Belgica Centonzio for setting up, leading sessions, translating and just being all around fantastic!
