The Whittier GEMS Club participated in a scavenger hunt at Gurnee Mills Mall, where they practiced their team-building, leadership, and communication skills, as well as speaking respectfully with adults in a business setting. Each girl had a chance to collaborate and compete in this friendship activity. Fun was had by all!
The GEMS Club is run by Ms. Miller, Ms. Franklin and Ms. Corona, and works with girls at Whittier on self esteem, social issues, communication skills and becoming positive female members of the community!
